April Club Update: Captains, Coaches & Committee 

Morning Everyone,
There are always lots of things going on in our club, so we are commencing a monthly update to keep you informed, with a few accompanying pics :)

It includes:

- recap of committee and coaches meeting from last month

- important dates for this month

- club wins & acknowledgments

LAST MONTH RECAP

COMMITTEE MEETING

The committee met on 27 March at the MCG and key items on the agenda were:

- Hong Kong CC Multi-sports Tour schedule, finances and preparation - all on track led by Nicky, and supported by Geri and Shelley.

- Committee confirmation of strategic plan and next steps, look out for an email later in the week on this

- Coordination of Spring trials dates, venues, communications and new player recruitment by Alex, with support from Head Coach, Robyne

- Confirming MCC Netball social and fundraising events for 2019 led by Nicky Lock, pleased to say a footy function in August and Bunning BBQ is on the cards so be on the lookout for more info to come

COACHES MEETING

The first remote coaches meeting was held last month and worked extraordinarily well - photo evidence below (FYI previously, Coaches meetings were held at the MCG).

Key items discussed:

- balancing and finalising teams, we have had a number of injuries and are mindful that there has been a lot of change within some teams

- selection process for May trials, which will be documented and shared with the club

- recruitment of coaches, we are seeking more coaches for the club and are reaching out to networks and universities, if anyone has a coaching contact that may be suitable for the club, please speak to Robyne

KEY DATES FOR APRIL

10 to 16 April: Hong Kong CC Multi-Sport tour

11 April: No training as Multi-Sport tour is in progress

20 April: Expressions of interest for Springs Trials Due - complete your EOI here

25 April: No training due to ANZAC day public holiday
