On Tuesday 28 November, MCC 3 won the 2017 Spring Premier Division 6 Grand Final. This is the third premiership for the club and the first premiership since MCC 1’s Premier Division 3 premiership in 2014.

This is MCC 3’s first year in the Premier Division and after finishing runners up in Autumn in extra time, they had a point to prove.

MCC’s opponent, Craigieburn, had been a tough competitor all year and had beaten MCC in their clash earlier in the season.. MCC 3 wasn’t going to have a repeat of that and came out firing, getting out to an early lead in the first quarter. The momentum continued into the rest of match and MCC walked away with a comfortable victory, winning 32 - 15.

It was an impressive performance with intensive defensive pressure applied all match which resulted in numerous spectacular intercepts.

MCC 3 finished in top position leading into finals meaning they have been promoted to Premier Division 5 in 2018.
