Selection outline
When selecting players MCC Netball seeks to ensure an even spread of players in mid-court, goals and defence at similar playing levels to support team cohesiveness and to give the club the best chance of success in the Parkville Netball Competition.
Selectors consider a player's
- competency in preferred positions
- game sense on court (Game Sense is the decision makingand motor competency to execute the decision for a successful outcome ina game situation*)
- confidence in at least 2 positions
- availability for matches
- capacity to commit to 80% of trainings in a season
The MCC Netball committee, Head Coach and selectors also expect players attending trials to reflect club behaviour as outlined in our code of coduct
Trial Format
The general trials format is as follows:
Each player will have at least 2 runs during the session.
